Minutes for Fife Dark Blues Bi-Monthly Meeting – 28th March 2011

Apologies –     Nil     16 members present.

1. The minutes from the last meeting were read out and agreed.

2. Treasurer’s Report – as of 25th March 2011
Balance - £4744.75
Outstanding outs – Hospitality cheque and bus, Comedy night donation, POTY cheque
Outstanding In – Outstanding hospitality payments, POTY ticket sales. £271.50 from buses and the
sale of football cards.
Secretary/Transport float - £66
     
Only a few premium membership instalments due in and nearly all annual memberships now paid.

3. Comedy & Curry Evening Wash Up –

How much to donate to DFCSS? – Bearing in mind we have already donated over £1500 this season
so far it was decided to wait until the next meeting, after the end of the season, to see what balance
we are left with once all bills are paid.

4. Transport (Buses) – The QOTS bus (5 Feb) was cancelled due to
lack of numbers. Buses were run to Stirling (19 Feb), Partick (5 Mar) (Free bus for premium members)
and Falkirk (19 Mar). We are now booking buses from St. Andrews Executive Travel which allows
journeys to originate in St. Andrews and stop off in Cupar, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline etc.
It is planned to book further buses for Morton (16 April), Ross County (23 Apr) and QOTS (7 May).

5. Away Day O’er the Tay – Volunteers required – Raffle donations required. Music (Courtesy of
Martin, CDB’s), Food (supplied by KRFC), DVD on big screen, £2 on door, Raffle tickets and
Merchandise for raffle too.

6. Strollers sponsorship for next season – Under 16 team, hold over to next meeting to see how
funds are after the end of the season.

7. Office positions for next season – Help required to run our supporters club. Too much is held
by too few. Colin Reid has kindly offered to remain as Chairman; Peter Campbell has kindly
offered to remain as Secretary; Gordon Barrie has kindly offered to remain as Treasurer; Brian
Scott has kindly offered to remain as Website Editor; Davie Mitchell has kindly offered to remain
as Predictor League organiser.
Volunteers are still required for Transport Secretary and Social Secretary.

8. Hospitality for one member on 10th April v Stirling – Names in the hat for a free to enter draw
for adult members only. The draw will take place during the “Away Day O’er the Tay” event prior
to the Rovers game on 2nd April 2011.

9. Fife Dark Blues Hospitality – 30th April – Premium members are required to confirm attendance
by 4th April 2011. There are still a couple of places available. The Secretary will send an email out
to get confirmation and to see if anyone wants the spare places. Those attending hospitality are
expected to wear a supporter’s club tie and pin badge on the day. These will be available on the
bus to the hospitality at a cost of £5 (Ties), £2 (Badges)

10. Membership for next season – A proposal to increase cost of membership for next season
was put forward. With the VAT increase and fuel prices soaring, this will no doubt lead to greater
costs for next season. Therefore it was proposed to increase membership to £12 for adults, £6
Youths. Family (1 Adult, 2 Kids) £20, Premium membership depends on hospitality cost. It was
decided to wait until our next meeting before taking a vote on this.

11. Platinum membership benefits – Hospitality lunch, Hall of Fame dinner ticket, hospitality x 2,
hospitality (next season), signed ball, signed shirt, season ticket. Currently we are giving the
benefits away by way of free draw. It was decided to carry that on apart from the signed shirt and
the season ticket. These will go into a member’s only raffle at £10 per ticket (one ticket member).

12. Merchandise – stock take – Still have a small quantity of mugs, t-shirts, ties and pin badges
available.  Members were asked if they wished a fresh order to be put in but everyone was happy
to leave it for now.

13. Player of the Year dinner – 10 Tickets only – earmarked for office bearers first, then premium
members, then adult members then adult non members. Names to the secretary (if too many
names then drawn from a hat). Cost is £35 per ticket.

14. Any Other Business – Race night – Try to hold a race night in the Clansman for general supporters
club funds and to support Mel for kindly letting the FDB’s use his Function room to hold our meetings.
Provisionally looking at 28th May 11.

DSA Function – Due to hospitality being full on the last home game of the season and the Penman
Lounge being used to host the hospitality the DSA have arranged to have a function in the Dundee
Social club prior to the game against Partick.

DFCSS – Colin Reid gave an update on DFCSS activity.

15.     Date of next meeting – The date of the next meeting was agreed to be Monday 9th
May 2011 after the last home game of the season and the Player of the Year Dinner.
